| Description |
The NTT-13-xx Transmitters are fully compliant with
SONET/SDH standards, OC-3/STM-1 for both Long Reach and Intermediate Reach.
All modules satisfy Class I Laser Safety requirements in accordance with
the US FDA/CDRH and international IEC-825 standards.
The functions of Transmitter are contained in a 20 pin-DIP package. The
Transmitter incorporates a highly reliable 1300nm InGaAsP Laser and a
driver circuit which converts PECL (Pseudo Emitter Coupled Logic) data
to light. Also, the transmitter features an Automatic Power Control (APC)
circuit to maintain the optical output power at a constant level against
variations in ambient temperature and device aging. The laser bias current
and back-facet light output can also be monitored.
The transmitter operates from a single +5V power supply over an operating
temperature range of 0°Cto 70°C("A" option) or -40°C
to +85°C("B" option). The fiber pigtail is terminated with
SC, FC or SC connector.
